This Thread Art kit by my friend Marianne contains 12 go to colors of wool Lana thread. This is a very textured thread, mostly used for hand work to give a nice soft edge to the work.  I have also used it on the machine for machine blanket stitching. It is more delicate so use a large eye needle and don't sew at the speed of sound! It makes a super blanket stitch.
